The Volkswagen Tiguan is back for 2020, and it’s every bit as good as last year’s model. A new model means new features, and the 2020 Tiguan has more than its fair share of those. So enough with the dilly-dallying. Here’s what you can expect from the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan crossover SUV.

Volkswagen has relaunched their Car-Net® service for 2020. With past models, Car-Net® was pretty exclusive, with only a few models getting access to it. Even then, it was mostly at upper trims. Volkswagen appears to have reconsidered this. The new Car-Net® is almost universally available, with most Volkswagen models receiving it. Not only that, but Volkswagen is providing 5 years (60 months) of free Car-Net® service. Considering the $18 per month subscription fee for old Car-Net®, that more than $1000 in savings.
With the prevalence of mobile devices, it makes sense to include one in cars, especially passenger vehicles, yet so few vehicles do so. Well, the 2020 Tiguan distinguishes itself once again in this category. It has a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot built-in that can support up to 4 devices simultaneously. Verizon customers can add their 2020 Tiguan to existing plans, if eligible. Other customers can get a no-commitment subscription plan for $20 a month.
The Tiguan comes in both 5 and 7-seat models. The 5-seater has a little more cargo room, with 36.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats. With those seats folded down, that space expands to 73.5 cubic feet. The 7-seater has 12 cubic feet behind the third row, 33 cubic feet behind the second, and 65.7 cubic feet behind the first. No matter which model you choose, you’ll have to room to carry what you need to.
