Do you have a smartphone? We thought so. Want to use it with your car? We thought so. Well, the Camry only has Apple CarPlay™, so if you have an Android, you’re out of luck. The Jetta has both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto. The Camry has a wonky navigation system; if you want to use navigation, you are forced to pair your phone with the Entune app and then use the Scout GPS Link app. If you forget your phone (or it’s dead) and you need navigation, you’re out of luck. On the other hand, the Jetta built-in nav system is intuitive and clean. If you decide against the the built-in option, you can easily access navigation through Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto.
The People First Warranty
Volkswagen has the best warranty in the industry. It includes 6-year / 72,000-mile basic coverage, 6-year / 72,000-mile drivetrain coverage, and 3-year / 36,000-mile roadside assistance. If that sounds like a lot, that’s because it is. Here’s the Toyota warranty for comparison: 3-year / 36,000-mile basic coverage, 5-year / 60,000-mile drivetrain coverage, and 2-year / unlimited-mileage roadside assistance. Unless you commute incredibly long distances or take many road trips a year, then that ‘unlimited-mileage’ clause may as well read ‘24,000-mile’.
