2018 Volkswagen Atlas Fredericksburg VA
There have always been plenty of things to love about Volkswagen, but one thing that has been missing are the larger options that are perfect for the American family. This is no longer a problem now that the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas has arrived in the Fredericksburg VA area here at Karen Radley Volkswagen.
The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is the first full-size SUV to enter the VW lineup, offering three rows of comfort that are said to offer plenty of room for adults even in the very back. A third-row easy-entry system provides a lever that allows access to the rear in one smooth and fast motion so access is convenient as well as comfortable.
2018 VW Atlas trim levels and options
For those who enjoy options, the 2018 VW Atlas provides plenty. This SUV launched into the market with S, Launch Edition, SE, SE with Technology, SEL and SEL Premium trims. The complicate matters further, all trims are available with standard front-wheel drive or available 4Motion all-wheel drive. There are two engine options, but only the base S trim without front-wheel drive has the standard 235-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which cannot be mated to the 4Motion system. The 3.6-liter V6 engine, which offers up to 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, is also available for the S trim (and can be paired with AWD) and is standard for all other trim levels.
Once you get past the various engine and all-wheel drive configurations, trim levels become a touch simpler to understand. As all but the S trim have just the one engine and then standard FWD or available AWD.
Standard features found in the S trim include:
- Engine Start-Stop
- LED exterior lighting
- Cruise control
- Remote entry
- Diamond-quilted cloth seating
- Car-Net App-Connect with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Rearview camera
