2016 Volkswagen Passat Stafford VA

We can’t imagine it would be easy for a manufacturer to look at one of its most popular, successful selling vehicles and say, “How can we make this better?” Fortunately, the design team at Volkswagen was daring enough to accept this challenge and it sure seems like they knocked it out of the park. The 2016 Volkswagen Passat in Stafford VA is one phenomenal looking vehicle, inside and out, and much of that is attributed to the vehicles aggressive new styling.

Before we get to the exciting changes in the 2016 Volkswagen Passat in Stafford VA, we first need to cover what hasn’t changed. The vehicle returns the popular, standard 1.8 liter turbocharged motor, as well as the powerful 3.6-liter VR6. A six-speed automatic transmission will come standard as well. The price will also start the same as the 2015 model at $22,440.

2016 Volkswagen Passat Redesigned Inside and Out

There is very little of the 2016 Volkswagen Passat’s exterior that wasn’t changed from the previous model. In fact, the only things VW claims were not changed were the roof, doors, and body side stamping. The new hood is now more sculpted, and the front fenders, grille and bumpers give the vehicle a much more aggressive look. More LED lighting will be optional for the headlights and taillights to better see and be seen on the road.

As for interior changes to the 2016 Passat, most of these have to deal with new technologies available to the driver. The second generation “modular infotainment platform” or MIB II will be available which features responsive touch screen displays for quick access. The VW Car-Net system will also be optional to allow for better smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
