Volkswagen Announces New “Pure-Aerodynamic” Electric Crossover-like Vehicle
The Los Angeles Auto Show started up a few days ago and will continue until December 1. There will have been many extraordinary reveals once everything is said and done, without a doubt. However, one of our favorites took place before LAAS even got underway. Right before LAAS started, Volkswagen announced its seventh concept car in the electric vehicle series set to go into production within the next few years.
Here’s the details on the new Volkswagen electric car revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

New Electric Model
The ID. SPACE VIZZION is the newest member of the now-seven vehicle electric lineup. Volkswagen designers went to town on it, making it incredibly aerodynamic. It is rated at a 0.24 drag coefficient, similar to competitors like Tesla and combustion-engine Porsche. However, the ID. SPACE VIZZION is not a sedan, but “defines a completely new vehicle segment,” a sort of SUV/wagon/crossover hybrid. Volkswagen describes it as “combin[ing] the aerodynamic qualities of a Gran Turismo with the generous interior space of an SUV.”
ID. SPACE VIZZION Specs and Features
The ID. SPACE VIZZION boasts an 82-kWh battery that puts out 250 kW to its 4Motion AWD. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds flat. The expected range is an EPA-estimated 300 miles, on par with the range of typical combustion vehicle. The cockpit features a 15.6-inch touchscreen that is fully integrated with the ID. Light system that Volkswagen have previously shown in other vehicles, like the currently under-production ID. 3. One of our favorite features is the AR-HUD (augmented reality heads-up display) that will show relevant driving information. For those more accustomed to traditional gauges or instrument clusters, the ID. SPACE VIZZION will also have a mini display showing basic driving info.
